Control engineering modeling
In the field of modeling, a balanced combination of accuracy and computational efficiency is of utmost importance. The design and verification of control algorithms requires the consideration of many numerical criteria, often based on very different analysis methods (linear stability criteria, metrics from non-linear simulations, induced system norms, etc.) and originating from different disciplines (aeroelasticity, systems, flight dynamics). In addition, many flight and loading conditions as well as parametric uncertainties in the many model components often have to be taken into account. The models are therefore multidisciplinary and “loop-capable” from the ground up.
