Visit of the Brandenburg Minister of Science Schüle on 07.10.2020 in Cottbus
The Minister of Science, Research and Culture of the State of Brandenburg, Dr. Manja Schüle, visited our DLR Institute of Low-Carbon Industrial Processes in Cottbus on October 7, 2020. The minister was given an insight into our institute, our scientific focus areas and the regional networking with other research institutions in Lusatia.
Technologies for the energy transition: High-temperature heat pumps and thermal storage power plants
Whether in power plants for electricity and heat or for the production of steel, aluminum, cement and chemical as well as petroleum-based products - the underlying processes are very complex and energy-intensive. The aim of DLR's research work is to make these processes more sustainable and efficient, thereby contributing to the achievement of global climate targets and also securing the future viability of these industries.
