ATM-MPC
The new phase of the Atmospheric Mission Performance Cluster (ATM-MPC) is an ESA project coordinated by KNM and it will cover the operations of TROPOMI onboard Sentinel-5 Precursor (S5P) during the next five years.
DLR will continue leading the S5P Level-2 teams responsible for the routine quality control, geophysical validation support, and maintenance and evolution of the retrieval algorithms. Additionally DLR will evaluate the quality of the S5P Level-1 products.
DLR in kind contribution to the ATM-MPC project covers mainly the adaptation of the operational Universal Processor for Atmospheric Spectrometers (UPAS) and research activities on retrieval and machine learning for S5P.

TROPOMI/S5P operational products under DLR responsibility:
total ozone (O3), tropospheric ozone, formaldehyde (HCHO), sulfur dioxide (SO2), and cloud properties (CF, CTH, COT).
