Enhancing User Intelligence for CAMS: User uptake and user requirements activities – Projekt CJS2_152a

The aim of project CJS2_152a "Enhancing User Intelligence for CAMS: User uptake and user requirements activities" is to support ECMWF (the delegated body for CAMS) in managing the relationship between CAMS and its users in order to ensure the best possible use of CAMS products. The core task is therefore to analyze user requirements with a focus on operational aspects and to translate these into specifications for CAMS products and services. To this end, the project collects and evaluates user requirements, systematically archives them in the User Requirements Database (implemented at DLR), and supports ECMWF in the further development of the Service Evolution Strategy. Furthermore, the project organizes two user meetings per year, each in a different EU member state. At the user meetings, new user requirements are collected and feedback on the use of CAMS products is gathered.
The DFD manages the CJS2_152a project, processes user requirements for the global CAMS services, and performs quarterly statistical evaluations of the CAMS user base.
