OPT-MPC
The new established Optical Mission Performance Cluster (OPT-MPC) brings together the experience of the former separated S2 and S3 Mission Performance Centers. DLR will continue working in the Sentinel-2 Expert Support Laboratory and takes over responsibility for cross-mission coordination activities related to atmospheric correction.
Again, DLR is in charge for validation of Sen2Cor products and contributes to evolution and maintenance of the Level-2 data processor.
DLR will now be also included in radiometric validation of Sentinel-2 L1-data. DLR is responsible for Fixed Pattern Noise assessment and Signal-to-Noise ratio validation on the analysis of images over radiometrically uniform natural targets.
