Visual Earth Lab

Over 50,000 visitors a year visit the ESA site in Frascati. Visitors, including high-level delegations from Member States, representatives from industry, politics and national and international space agencies, have so far been given an introduction to ESA’s Earth observation missions in the ‘Control Room Earth Observation Platforms’. As the current facilities no longer meet the requirements of modern presentation and visualisation technologies, a new visitor centre for data exploration and visualisation, the ‘Visual Earth Lab’, is being created on the ESA site. DFD-WIS is responsible for the content design of the exhibits, whilst Ars Electronica Solutions in Linz is responsible for the technical and structural implementation.
