Battery testing and characterisation at cell, module and system level

Credit:
We test batteries under various operating conditions. In addition to voltage, current and temperature measurements, impedance spectroscopic measurements are carried out to determine the condition. Cyclisation and characterisation of the batteries, whether at cell or module level, can be carried out depending on different ambient temperatures and mechanical clamping forces. At system level, batteries with outputs of up to 200 kW can be tested by placing them in the climatic chamber of the vehicle chassis dynamometer and integrating them into a thermal management system. A safety assessment is carried out separately depending on the level of test specimen technology maturity.
