DLR is an important source of impetus and ideas for future innovations for industrial partners and strengthens marketable developments with its unique opportunity for testing in over 180 large-scale research facilities.
The Institute of Space Systems supports the qualification and analysis of space technologies. Extensive research infrastructure in the form of laboratories and test facilities is available for this purpose, which can also be used by external interested parties.
Central facilities (EMC laboratory, micro VCM test stand, vibration test stand, pyroshock test stand, solar and space simulation facility) are accredited in accordance with the relevant standards (see list of test standards) and evaluate results according to defined decision rules.
