Solar heat ranging from 100 to 1,000 °C opens up a wide range of applications – from the building sector and local and district heating networks to industrial process heat and high-temperature concepts. The event brings together experts from industry and research to explore these fields of application and exchange ideas.
Register now. We recommend that you register by 31 May 2026. The event will be held in German.

In the afternoon, you will have the opportunity to visit the new LUNA Moon facility – a joint research and training facility run by the German Aerospace Centre (DLR) and the European Space Agency (ESA) in Cologne, where future lunar missions are prepared for and tested under realistic conditions here on Earth.
In the evening, we wind down after a long day in a relaxed atmosphere and celebrate together to the sound of lively live music.
Launch event for the Solar Thermal and Storage Technology Platform working group
On the preceding day, 17 June 2026, from 1 pm, the launch event for the BMWE’s new ‘Solar Thermal Energy’ research network at the DLR site in Cologne-Porz will offer an opportunity to learn about the technology’s potential and to engage in a strategic discussion with experts from research and industry on current research and development needs.
Please feel free to take this opportunity to combine both events. Further information about the launch event and details on how to register can be found here.
