                    Research services

                    The Institute of Solar Research offers comprehensive services to international industrial customers and project development companies. In this way, the institute transfers the results of its research and development work into commercial applications. In addition, research organisations can also use the institute's facilities and services for their own research projects.

                    Qualification procedures

                    Together with industrial partners, DLR is developing measurement and test procedures for the qualification of components and systems of solar thermal power plants.

                    Meteorology in the energy industry

                    Understanding and predicting meteorological conditions and the available solar resource is critical to determining the yield of a solar power plant.

                    Simulation and profitability assessment

                    The DLR Institute of Solar Research evaluates the technical and economic aspects of systems that provide both heat and electricity and supports them from the development phase through to market launch.

                    Research and Development – support and consulting

                    The DLR Institute of Solar Research advises industrial companies and project development companies on the preparation, implementation and evaluation of their R&D projects.
