Lange Nacht der Wissenschaft/ Long Night of Science
On June 3, 2023, the National Experimental Test Center for Unmanned Aircraft Systems of the German Aerospace Center (DLR) was represented at the Long Night of Science in Magdeburg. The event provided an opportunity to share current topics related to the Test Center and the passion for unmanned aviation with a broad public.
"Lange Nacht der Wissenschaft" (Long night of science) - Magdeburg
In the foyer of building 22 of Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg (OVGU), visitors were able to experience drones flying through the air. Numerous conversations were held, in which the staff of the Test Center shared their expertise on flight technology and unmanned aviation and presented current projects at the Test Center. Visitors asked interested questions and showed great interest in the possibilities and challenges of this emerging technology.
The flight simulator at the stand of the National Testing Center was considered a special highlight, offering visitors the opportunity to virtually fly a drone themselves. In particular, the youngest visitors to the fair enthusiastically took their seats at the flight simulator and put their flying skills to the test.
