Ship Deck Simulator
The ship deck simulator (motion platform) makes it possible to simulate realistic maritime conditions for flight tests. The simulator is a platform that can move in six degrees of freedom and simulates computer-controlled ship movements. It is mounted on a trailer that simulates the forward motion of the ship.
The system is currently being used in the DLR project MaRPAS, for example.
Data:
- Six degrees of freedom
- Landing platform with different surfaces: Checker plate, smooth, steel (magnetic) and mesh
- Mobile and stationary use
- Motion platform drive: electric
- System weight: 1400 kg
- Diameter of landing deck: 3.6 m
- Usable for aircraft up to 100 kg
- Landing deck can be folded for transportation
