Environmentally friendly and efficient mobility solutions

In order for future road based transportation to be environmentally friendly, , we need to change technology and behaviour and focus more on electromobility and public transport.

In addition to the vehicles themselves, it is also about transport mode choice, customised offers for users, and integration into existing and future infrastructure. Support from industry and legislation is also important in order to enable this change.

MoDa utilises DLR's large amounts of data and models to develop new services that help to quickly achieve more environmentally friendly mobility options. To effectively push forward the mobility transformation, these services are designed to be practical, easy to use, and specifically tailored to the needs of businesses and public organisations. An important aspect of this is the use of DLR's cross-institute expertise to develop scientifically sound methods and tools that make a significant contribution to accelerating the mobility transition.

From data and models to MoDa services in practice

The MoDa services will develop accurate and, most importantly, relevant research knowledge to provide insights for key customers such as local governments, national government, businesses, and the general public. They will cover a broad range of transport issues and work closely with potential stakeholders. This allows them to actively contribute to our research and is encouraged by the services.
