Unknown qualities of Germans
Of course, Germans are very different. But they are usually...
- Helpful – although you may have to approach them first
- Honest and direct – because honesty is highly valued. This can sometimes be irritating in conversation, but you usually know where you stand very quickly.
- Reliable – a commitment counts for something. You are more likely to get an honest "no" than a promise that cannot be kept.
Intercultural awareness or – even better – intercultural training can help you to better understand Germany and Germans.
