Welcome (back) EDEN LUNA!

  • Freshly serviced and with a new logo, our EDEN LUNA Moon Analog Facility is back at the Institute of Space Systems.
  • The research greenhouse was previously in Antarctica for five years as part of the EDEN ISS project, during which time it supplied the crews of Neumayer Station III with fresh vegetables.
  • The container is now being equipped with new technologies as part of the EDEN LUNA project and will then be connected to the analog lunar simulation facility LUNA in Cologne - the aim: to test initial procedures and requirements for a lunar habitat with an almost closed-loop bio-regenerative life support system. Fresh Vegetables for future space missions!
