GNSS Technology and Navigation

Credit:
The “GNSS Technology and Navigation” team researches on the navigation of spacecraft on ballistic orbits, in low Earth orbits or high orbits. The focus is on improving the accuracy and precision of the navigation solution on the one hand and on increasing robustness and resilience to interference on the other. Research activities focus on centimeter-accurate orbit determination in real time on board the spacecraft, precise orbit determination, robust 6-DoF navigation for sounding rockets, generation of precise GNSS products and GNSS system analysis. In addition, the group is investigating concepts for increasing the resilience and performance of existing GNSS, e.g. by adding a satellite constellation in low Earth orbit.
