Simulation-based validation of passive safety structures through virtual crash tests

These simulatons aim to demonstrate innovative technologies designed to enhance safety for all road users, as well as for vehicles and subsystems from renowned OEMs and suppliers. A digital twin of the NGC UMV People Mover was developed as a neutral development platform for component suppliers, enabling crash testing to provide a realistic environment for new technologies to showcase their potential for future applications. Additionally, the crash model is currently being used in third-party projects to explore crash challenges and technological solutions for shuttle-type vehicles.
