DLR/EOC Calendar Awarded Bronze

Presentation of the “gregor international calendar award” in the Haus der Wirtschaft in Stuttgart

The limited-edition 2017 DLR calendar, distributed to representatives of ministries, public authorities, partners, and decision makers in science and industry, once more features EOC topics. And it was again successful in a calendar competition. On 26 January it received a bronze “gregor international calendar award” at the Haus der Wirtschaft in Stuttgart.

The calendar was selected for inclusion among the 30 best of over 800 submissions from Germany, USA, Africa, Asia, Great Britain, France, Hungary, Slovenia, Switzerland and Japan. In addition to the main winner of the „gregor international calendar award“, there were five gold, 10 silver and 15 bronze awards conferred, as well as honours for 30 special-category calendars. The formal event was attended by State Secretary Katrin Schütz of the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labour and Housing. The ministry sponsors this annual competition together with the Graphischer Klub Stuttgart and the Verband Druck und Medien. The award-winning calendars, many of which are not available on the market, are on display daily until 17 February from 11 to 18 o’clock in the Haus der Wirtschaft in Stuttgart and will also be shown from 24 February to 19 March 2017 at the Regierungspräsidium in Karlsruhe. The abstract images provided by EOC offer insights into current applications for earth observation and are interesting both for their aesthetics and for their content.
