                        About us

                        The research activities are addressed and implemented in four departments in order to take account of the systemic approach. The goal of the competence centre is to pool the capabilities of existing institutes and facilities and to develop further research capabilities for the implementation of technology demonstrations in the context of Responsive Space.

                        Responsive Space Cluster Competence Center

                        The Responsive Space Cluster Competence Center was established with the goal of developing the necessary technology base in the context of Responsive Space.

                        Departments

                        The Cluster Competence Centre consists of four departments. Launch-, Space- and Groundsection as well as Technology Demonstration.

                        Location & Arrival

                        The Trauen site of the German Aerospace Centre (DLR) is located in the Lüneburg Heath, in the immediate vicinity of the Bundeswehr airport in Faßberg. Since 1935, the favourable location away from settlements and yet close to conurbations has been used to carry out highly demanding research experiments.

                        Awards

                        The Responsive Space Cluster Competence Center has already won awards at international level.
