Neustrelitz is located around 100 kilometres north of Berlin and 150 kilometres south of Rostock. There is at least an hourly train connection between Neustrelitz and Berlin or Rostock.
Neustrelitz can be reached by car via the B96 and B198 motorways.

Travelling by train and bus

From Berlin there is an hourly connection with the regional express train (RE5 towards Rostock or Stralsund) from the Südkreuz, Hauptbahnhof and Gesundbrunnen railway stations.) There is also a 2-hourly IC connection to Rostock.
There may be deviations in the timetables due to construction work. The RE5 connections from Oranienburg will then run. In this case, take the S-Bahn line S1 to Oranienburg.
Information on this can be found in the timetable information www.bahn.de

There is a direct bus connection from Neustrelitz main station to Woldegker Chaussee 35.
Bus route "1+3" in the direction of "Grüner Baum" or "Alexanderplatz". The bus runs every half hour, every minute 10 and 40, departing from the bus platform (see timetable).
- Get off at the bus stop "Landratsamt". The previous stop "Bundespolizei" is located at a hairpin bend.
- From the bus stop, follow the footpath straight ahead at a right angle to the road.

Travelling by plane

There is a direct connection from the airport with the Intercity (IC) in the direction of Rostock. You can also take the airport express train "FEX" in the direction of the main railway station to the RE5, either at Gesundbrunnen station or at the main railway station.

Travelling by car

- Coming from Berlin via the A10 city motorway
- At the motorway junction 31-Kreuz Oranienburg follow the signs for Stralsund/Oranienburg and take the exit onto the B96.
- Follow the B96 to Neustrelitz.
- Take the B198 exit in the direction of A20/Woldegk/Neustrelitz.
- At the roundabout, take the first exit (Woldegker Chaussee/B198).
- After approx. 650 metres, turn left at the next junction "Bundespolizei (BPOL) / Landratsamt (LRA)" in the direction of the Landratsamt. Parking spaces are signposted for the DLR.

Travelling by train and bike

The route is signposted with the destinations "Woldegk" (town), "BPOL" (Federal Police).
From the railway station, first follow the sloping route parallel to the railway to the main road and turn left into Strelitzer Chausse and cycle under the bridge. You can use the cycle path on the left until the next set of traffic lights. Turn left into Kirschenalle. At the next junction (approx. 300m) turn right into Lessingstraße. Follow the road for approx. 2.3 km to the next set of traffic lights. There, turn left onto the cycle path alongside the B198 under the road bridge. If you are using the cycle path on the right, you should change to the left-hand side of the road at the next roundabout (give way to motor traffic!) (it is easier to cycle on the left straight away, although this is against the rules). After another 300 metres, turn left at the bus stop onto the footpath. Continue straight ahead until you reach the bicycle stands. The main entrance is slightly set back on the left-hand side.
