In the VABENE++ project, powerful tools are being developed to aid public offices and organisations with security responsibilities as well as traffic authorities when dealing with disasters and large public events.
The VABENE++ project has access to the results of the prior VABENE project (2010-2013) and will be increasingly implementing and expanding those developments. The applications described below are already in operational use, having been successfully tested and demonstrated in diverse instances.
Images recorded from aircraft can encompass the operational area and the traffic situation over large areas at high spatial resolution.
Recorded aerial images and analytical results are visualized and made available to users via the portals.
The mobile situation center of VABENE++ consists of a vehicle with an antenna for receiving data transmissions from an airplane, and a portable operations tent.
