The small satellite Milani scans the double asteroids Didymos and Dimorphos
ESA's Hera mission to the near-Earth binary asteroids Didymos and Dimorphos aims to learn more about the possibilities of planetary defence. Hera will be carrying two CubeSats on board, which will examine the asteroids at close range. This artist's impression shows the CubeSat Milani performing one of its main tasks, analysing the composition of the asteroids.
