                      We develop our own simulation tools to design and optimise engine components and complete engines, and to predict various characteristics.

                      CFD-Framework TRACE

                      The TRACE flow solver is used in turbomachinery research and in the industrial design of aero engines and stationary gas turbines and is one of the core components of the virtual engine.

                      Engine Platform GTlab

                      GTlab is an integrative software framework for answering multidisciplinary questions in drive research. It enables the design of drive systems or individual components at different levels of detail and over the entire product life cycle.

                      AutoOpti Optimisation Framework

                      The Institute of Propulsion Technology is developing an integrated numerical design system for the aeromechanical design of turbomachinery components.

                      PropNoise for quiet aviation

                      The PropNoise simulation tool predicts the noise of turbofan and open rotor engines. All sources and effects of noise generation can be fully described analytically with PropNoise. The tool offers the unique ability to quickly adapt to changing concepts in aviation.
