UpLift: ground test station and flying test rig

Research landscape as an enabler for climate-neutral flying

The UpLift project makes a research aircraft and ground test facilities available to all interested parties for research projects on hydrogen technologies. The aim of this open-technology research landscape is to accelerate technological development.

The BMWK is providing 45 million euros in funding to test disruptive hydrogen technologies in a flying test laboratory as part of the UpLift programme. This is open to all technologies and has a modular structure so that it is available to many different partners. This is particularly interesting for SMEs and start-ups.

In addition, complementary extensions to ground-based test facilities are made available.
