Call for proposals LuFo VII-2 published
The second call for proposals under the seventh national civil aviation research programme (LuFo VII-2) was published in the Federal Gazette on 13 May 2026.
Through its Aviation Research Programme, the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWE) provides non-repayable grants to support research and development projects at a low Technology Readiness Level (TRL) within the overall aircraft system. Funding is focused on innovative enabling technologies for the next generation of short- and medium-haul aircraft, as well as on technologies for decarbonised energy sources.
Commercial enterprises, including SMEs and start-ups, academic institutions and large-scale research organisations are eligible to submit proposals. Proposals may be submitted from now until 12:00 on 24 June 2026 (deadline).
