Working student: project support, organisational management, multimedia and PR activities

A.H.E.A.D
Autonomous humanitarian emergency aid device

Mobile robots are used and developed for various applications in the fields of planetary exploration and terrestrial field robotics. Help and support with project organisation is particularly needed in large projects such as the AHEAD (A.H.E.A.D: autonomous humanitarian emergency aid devices) initiative https://projekt-ahead.de/ , the iFOODis (Improving the sustainability of food cycles through intelligent robotic systems) project https://ifoodis.com and the LUNA project (here). Regular workshops need to be organised, guest lists, mailing lists, newsletters and web news need to be maintained and updated. In addition, many reports are prepared by various partners and participants, where the support of the project manager is very important.

You will work in close co-operation with the project manager and team members. Interest in scientific work is highly desirable, but not required. The ability to work in a team is the key competence.

We are looking for a long-term working student from a different application area rather than an engineering/computer science student, e.g. teaching, foreign languages, international relations or design/multimedia.

Most of the work can be done from home, but regular visits to the institute in Oberpfaffehofen are also important. The work can be flexibly adapted according to study load (exam period, holidays etc.). An average weekly working time of 10-20 hours is planned. Only enrolled students will be employed.

Your tasks:

  • Project assistance
  • Support in the organisation of workshops
  • Writing texts for newsletters, webnews, emails and reports
  • Communication with colleagues and project partners
  • Good language skills in German and English
  • Interest in mobile robot technologies, willingness to improve the world with technology

Start date:
