RM employee Maximo A. Roa Garzon honoured as "DLR Senior Scientist

For his scientific excellence, Dr Maximo A. Roa-Garzon was named "DLR Senior Scientist". The award took place online on 29 June 2021.


In his laudation, Prof. Dr. Ing. Karsten Lemmer, new DLR Executive Board member for "Innovation, Transfer and Research Infrastructure", emphasised both Dr. Roa Garzon's achievements in the field of grasping and manipulation, as well as his contributions to the acquisition and management of third-party funded projects, particularly in the area of space robotics.

The title "Senior Scientist" is awarded annually in recognition of the achievements of outstanding scientists at DLR. On the one hand, scientists who have excelled in the field of basic research are honoured, and on the other hand, scientists who work primarily in an application-oriented manner and have rendered outstanding services in the field of project work.
