Akademie für Politische Bildung Tutzing
Science – and scientists – are now more than ever required to open up to society: Research results and their possible applications must be explained and the dialogue between science and society promoted. However, the so-called "general public" is rarely reached. Who does traditional science communication reach, and who is excluded from it?
The conference provides insights into research on target groups that are difficult or impossible to reach and shows how research results can be communicated effectively and comprehensibly to different target groups, which communication formats are particularly successful and how the dialogue between science and society can be made more inclusive.
It is aimed at scientists, communicators, journalists, representatives of public institutions and anyone working at the interface between research and society. With the help of best-practice examples, various creative, artistic formats and interactive platforms, we will consider and discuss with you how a broader public can be won over to scientific topics – even beyond the academic world.
The full conference programme as well as the registration can be found on the website of the Academy for Political Education in Tutzing.
