EASE
AI-based assistance for forensic investigations at sea
Motivation
The EASE project is researching and evaluating innovative AI processes and completely new assistance and interaction technologies. These should help to significantly improve the efficiency of forensic investigation work in the maritime sector and, in particular, drastically increase the detection rate in time-critical cases. Although existing systems are already in place, these are merely non-optimised tools that do not yet follow a task-specific concept.
Ziele
The aim of the project is to develop task-orientated interaction concepts that provide maritime players with targeted support in specific situations. The current state of the art has developed to such an extent that such systems cannot be put into operation immediately. Rather, they must first be thoroughly researched with regard to their functional design and possible application in the maritime sector. All authorities and organisations with security tasks, national and international security centres and commercial players such as shipping companies or operators of maritime infrastructures can potentially benefit from the knowledge gained.
