This year, two major exercises -- in the Ahrtal (June 2026) and in Braunschweig (October 2026) -- mark two central milestones of the RESITEK project. These demonstrations will show how innovative technologies and methods developed within RESITEK can be deployed jointly and effectively in the event of a disaster. To illustrate the broad benefit of the technologies developed, deliberately different demonstration scenarios were chosen for rural and urban settings. A heavy rain scenario shows deployment in a rural region, while a storm scenario addresses the urban environment. This makes visible both the diverse requirements of different natural disasters and the generalizability and transferability of the developed methods to different environments. The focus is not only on technical performance, but above all on the smooth interaction of the participating institutes: their different methods, data and processes are combined in such a way that they mesh seamlessly in a real emergency. The exercises will demonstrate how established procedures are complemented by new developments and how this synergy helps to make operational structures more robust and flexible. In addition, the preventive analyses of critical infrastructure, the power distribution grid, and changes in mobility needs will be presented.
