Locations & Directions
The Institute of Communications and Navigation is located at the two DLR sites in Oberpfaffenhofen and Neustrelitz. At the Oberpfaffenhofen site are the Institute's management, the four specialist departments with the research areas Satellite Networks, Optical Satellite Links, Communications Systems and Navigation, as well as the cross-sectional department for project management and support processes. The Nautical Systems department is located at the Neustrelitz site. Here, the Institute's work on navigation-related issues focuses on supporting safe shipping on the world's oceans and inland waterways.
