Three researchers received the Best Technical Paper Award for their research on combustion instabilities in rocket combustion chambers.

At the "Symposium on Thermoacoustics in Combustion: Industry meets Academia 2021" of the Technical University of Munich, the authors Wolfgang Armbruster, Dr. Justin Hardi and Prof. Michael Oschwald of the DLR Institute of Space Propulsion received the Best Technical Paper Award for the paper on "Impact of shear-coaxial injector hyrodynamics on high-frequency combustion instabilities in a representative cryogenic rocket engine". The award recognizes the publication with the greatest technical relevance of all the papers submitted and is endowed with prize money of €500.
