RM is a co-organiser of the Digital Day 2021

What opportunities and risks does robotics harbour for our family, leisure and working lives, and when will it even become relevant for us? What have you always wanted to know about robotics? The Institute of Robotics and Mechatronics is co-organising Digital Day 2021, where participants can informally discuss the latest developments with scientists. Using videos and short presentations, the institute's employees will show what technological advances await us in the coming years. Projects from robotic care assistance, four-legged walking robotics, which are to be used in plantar exploration, for example, and the factory of the future will be presented.

The aim of the Digital Day is to promote digital participation. It is organised by the "Digital for All" initiative. It is backed by a broad alliance of 27 organisations from the fields of civil society, culture, science, business, welfare and the public sector. The aim is to enable everyone in Germany to navigate the digital world with confidence and self-determination.

The day of action offers a platform for highlighting various aspects of digitalisation, discussing opportunities and challenges and initiating a broad social dialogue. The individual activities are presented on www.digitaltag.eu on an interactive action map.
