The EO4CAM data portal ensures that the data and insights generated throughout the project are easily accessible to selected user groups. To achieve this, information products are tailored to specific users and provided through multiple access pathways.

For policymakers, the media, and the general public, key findings are presented in aggregated form via dashboards. Experts can access a geodata-based information system. Data scientists and institutions can integrate EO4CAM data directly into their own systems using standardized interfaces.

Project results are communicated both through clear visual representations and charts, and via maps and statistics. In addition to spatial visualizations and data aggregation, the portal serves as a comprehensive overview of EO4CAM’s outcomes.

The portal is built on a powerful geospatial data infrastructure, which forms the backbone of the system. This infrastructure hosts the project’s entire data collection and provides standard interfaces for direct access. To enable citation in scientific publications and other contexts, the infrastructure also provides Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs), enhancing the findability and traceability of the project’s results. The portal’s user interface displays the data from the infrastructure directly in the web browser. It draws on experience and technologies from numerous other DLR research projects, ensuring intuitive use and modern presentation of the results. EO4CAM outputs can easily be shared via social media or presented live at conferences.

Through an iterative development process, the EO4CAM data portal is being continuously improved and expanded. A preliminary version will be presented to test users by mid-2025 to collect early feedback. A full release of the portal, including initial integrated project data, is planned for early 2026. Based on user feedback, the portal will continue to be optimized and enriched with new data throughout the course of the project.
