MONITOR Air Transport and Low-Cost 2-2025
In summer 2025, global air traffic was above pre-crisis levels, with Asia as the largest market. Low-cost flights accounted for around 31 per cent worldwide, but the share varies significantly by region: about 36 per cent in Europe, around 26 per cent in Germany, and only about eight per cent in domestic German air travel. These findings are presented in the new DLR monitor “Air Transport and Low Cost”.
