6-10 July 2026 - Toulouse

WCTR 2026

At the 17th World Conference on Transport Research (WCTR), international experts from academia, industry, and both the public and private sectors come together to discuss key transport issues. The conference is organised by the World Conference on Transport Research Society (WCTRS) and is held every three years. The DLR Institute of Air Transport contributes research on air transport economics.

2-4 September 2026 - Krakow

EWGT 2026

The 28th Annual Conference of the EURO Working Group on Transportation brings together the international research community in the field of transport and mobility. The focus is on innovative approaches to efficient, sustainable and equitable mobility, as well as the application of new methods from artificial intelligence, data science and networked systems. The DLR Institute of Air Transport is represented with topics from air transport economics.

8-10 September 2026 - Aachen

DLRK 2026

The 75th German Aerospace Congress (DLRK) will take place in 2026 at the Eurogress in Aachen and is organised by the German Society for Aeronautics and Astronautics (DGLR). As a central platform for scientific and technical exchange in German and European aerospace, the congress brings together experts from research, industry and practice to discuss current developments and provide impulses for the future. The DLR Institute of Air Transport is represented with contributions from its current research on flight operations concepts.

9-11 September 2026 - Porto

ETC 2026

The 54th European Transport Conference (ETC) will take place at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto in Portugal and is organised by the Association for European Transport. The conference provides an open forum for exchange between research, practice and policy across all transport modes and throughout the entire planning and implementation process of mobility. The DLR Institute of Air Transport is represented with work on emissions modelling and the assessment of climate impacts in air transport.

13-18 September 2026 - Sydney

ICAS 2026

In September 2026, the international aviation research community will meet in Sydney for the 35th Congress of the International Council of the Aeronautical Sciences (ICAS). The congress focuses on global exchange on current scientific and technological developments in aeronautics, with a particular emphasis on sustainable aviation and future aircraft generations. The DLR Institute of Air Transport contributes, among other topics, to urban air mobility (UAM), emissions modelling and flight operations concepts.

27-30 September 2026 - Toulouse

EASN 2026

The 16th EASN Conference will once again take place in 2026 as part of the annual meeting of the European aerospace research community and is organised by the European Aeronautics Science Network. The event brings together academia, industry and policy to discuss current developments, new technologies and research trends in aeronautics and space, and to strengthen the European research area.
