Jülich

The Jülich site

The DLR site in Jülich is the main base of the Institute of Future Fuels. In addition to the office building, the site is home to the Synlight® solar simulator, a test facility unique in the world for generating artificial sunlight. Researchers and industry partners use Synlight® to test production processes for solar fuels and solar thermochemical processes. In addition, the scientists carry out such irradiation experiments under real-world conditions on the DLR’s Multifocus Tower in Jülich.
