In the Synlight® solar simulator, the world's only test facility for the provision of artificial sunlight, production processes for solar fuels and solar thermochemical processes are tested. Other institutes and industrial companies can use the testing chambers in the Synlight facility for their solar radiation tests as well.

                      Cologne

At the DLR headquarters in Cologne-Porz, the Institute for Future Fuels runs the large-scale facility Solar Furnace and High Flux Simulator, as well as the Competence Center for Ceramic Materials and Thermal Storage Technology CeraStorE®.
