To mark the solar eclipse on 12 August 2026, Danish science journalist Tina Ibsen visited Synlight in Jülich with a film crew. Ibsen is an astrophysicist, author of a series of popular science books and presenter of the space podcast ‘RumSnak’. In her report, she provides interesting insights into how the Sun actually works, how much energy it can generate and how effectively Synlight simulates this radiation.
