Working Student, Internship and/or Bachelor's/Master's Thesis: Testing a Sensor in a Test Setup

As part of a development project, we are looking for support in the measurement of force sensors. The basic test setup is already available and commissioning can take place. Two work packages are offered, which can be worked on separately or together:

DLR Miniature Force Torque Sensor

Package 1:

The student is to carry out the commissioning of the test setup, which involves the implementation of software with Python/ROS2. This will be used to measure various sensor properties and calibrate the sensor.

Requirements:

  • Good experience with Python, desirable also with ROS2
  • Independent, structured and committed way of working

Tasks:

  • Implementation of software for commissioning the test setup
  • Measurement and evaluation of various sensor prototypes

Package 2:

The student should expand the existing sensor concept, design it in CAD and analyse it using FEM. Strains and stresses are to be evaluated and optimised. Depending on progress, the prototype will be manufactured and measured.

Requirements:

    Requirements:Very good knowledge of CAD programmes- Good knowledge of FEM, preferably Ansys- Good experiences with Python- Independent, structured and committed way of working

  • Literaturrecherche zu aktuellen Sensorlösungen
  • Konzeptionierung, Konstruktion und Analyse eines Sensors
  • Herstellung und Ausmessung eines Prototyps

Die Arbeit wird am Deutschen Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt in Oberpfaffenhofen durchgeführt.
