DownloadLocated at the German Aerospace Centre (DLR) DLR Institute of Transportation Systems in Braunschweig, RailSiTe® is DLR’s dedicated railway simulation and test laboratory. Since 2012, it has been accredited in accordance with DIN ES ISO / IEC 17025:2005 for the functional conformity test of ETCS on-board equipment. The facility has the capability to provide detailed technical and operational simulations, as well as the testing of railway control and safety systems. The laboratory is able to replicate the entire rail transport system chain in detail; this includes everything from track-side control, safety technology and signal boxes to route infrastructure, the route-train radio interface and vehicle-side operations.
