High-speed runs

High-speed runs
During a measurement campaign conducted in Italy, researchers from the DLR Institute of Communications and Navigation investigated the transfer of information between two high-speed trains. For this purpose, they conducted test runs on a railway line between Naples and Rome on four consecutive nights. This image was acquired from the end of the preceding train and shows an overtaking manoeuvre at a speed of approximately 230 kilometres per hour.
