Office location

Building of Galileo Competence Centre

The Galileo Competence Center is part of the 13 scientific facilities and institutes located on the DLR site in Oberpfaffenhofen. The DLR site with the most employees, which is one of the largest research centres in Germany, is located approx. 30 km west of Munich and only 2.5 km east of Weßlinger See, the smallest of the lakes in the famous Bavarian five-lake region.

We are currently an interim tenant in the elegant DLR-GfR building until the GK's own building, which is currently being planned, is expected to be completed in 2026.

The entire first floor, comprising a total of four floors, is available to the Galileo Competence Center. With 28 offices (including the secretariat and management), there is space for around 100 employees. Two large kitchens with extensive equipment offer plenty of space to enjoy coffee breaks with colleagues.

Two separate think tanks as creative spaces and two large conference rooms, all equipped with modern technology, facilitate internal and external communication.

One of the features of the building's large, comfortable foyer is a foosball table, which is ideal for a short break between project deadlines and creative dialogue.

Our direct entrance area to the premises in the Galileo Competence Center has been embellished with our visual key images. This means you can see our vision and mission every day.
