ROMO – the electromobile vehicle of the future
Robomobile, or ROMO for short, is manoeuvrable, lightweight and, in future, will be completely autonomous. The drive and brake are installed in the wheel units. The DLR Institute of System Dynamics and Control electromobile uses aerospace technology. Using individually steered wheels, ROMO is able to move in a crab-like fashion, travelling diagonally and sideways as well as turning on the spot.
