In aviation, predicting the availability of navigation methods is an important element in flight preparation. DLR has developed prognostication tools that cover a multitude of current and even future navigation methods. DLR's Receiver Autonomous Integrity Monitoring (RAIM) web application shows current navigation methods based on the American satellite navigation system GPS as well as future methods incorporating the signals of the European satellite navigation system Galileo or the Russian GLONASS.
