Anaglyph image of part of the southern portion of Gordii Dorsum

Anaglyph image of part of the southern portion of Gordii Dorsum
Anaglyph images can be created from the nadir channel in the HRSC camera system, which looks vertically at Mars, and one of the four stereo channels aligned obliquely with the surface. By using red/blue (cyan) or red/green glasses, a three-dimensional impression of the landscape can be created. North is to the right in the image. In the 3D view it is clearly apparent that Gordii Dorsum is constructed from numerous superimposed layers that have been gradually affected by wind erosion, primarily from the west.
