Luftwaffe A319 CJ

Luftwaffe A319 CJ
The Airbus A319 CJ (Corporate Jetliner) is designed for short and medium haul use by delegations of medium size. The Air Force uses the twin-engine aircraft, especially in the political-parliamentary area, for VIP flights and for transport and medevac flights, that is, for the transport of injured or sick patients. The Airbus A319 CJ, as well as the other models in the renewed fleet, is rapidly convertible between roles. Through the use of up to four external fuel tanks, the range of the aircraft can be increased to 7600 kilometres. Two Airbus A319CJs have been in service with the Flugbereitschaft des Bundesministeriums der Verteidigung (an air transport squadron of the Luftwaffe) since the summer of 2010.
