On 21 January 2013, the High Resolution Stereo Camera (HRSC) operated by DLR on board ESA's Mars Express spacecraft captured a portion of the south-eastern rim of the giant volcano Olympus Mons on Mars. This colour perspective view was created using data acquired by the nadir channel of HRSC, which is oriented perpendicular to the Martian surface, and the colour channels.
