Rosetta's view of Earth

Rosetta's view of Earth
Europe's comet chaser, Rosetta, acquired this image after its fly-by of Earth. It was taken from an altitude of just 1954 kilometres on 5 March 2005 between 13:47 and 14:08 CET by navigation camera 1. At this time, Rosetta was already moving away from Earth. Visible in the lower part of the image is Antarctica, and above it, South America. The coastlines are also clearly visible.
