The town of Schwäbisch Hall is located in the valley of the River Kocher in the northeast of the German state of Baden-Württemberg. German ESA astronaut Alexander Gerst took this photograph on 15 July 2014 during his ‘Blue Dot’ mission on board the International Space Station.
